Why a studio of one
You talk to the builder.
SynapseGrid is one person: me, Michael. The engineer you email is the engineer who scopes your project, directs the AI agents that build it, and picks up when something breaks. There is no account manager, no junior team behind the curtain, no handoff where the context gets lost.
That constraint is the point. A studio of one takes fewer projects and holds each of them in a single head — so decisions take hours instead of meetings, and senior judgment covers everything from the first call to the last deploy. And if your project isn't a fit, I'll tell you on that first call.
Before SynapseGrid
Fifteen-plus years turning business needs into working systems.
Before founding SynapseGrid, I spent over fifteen years inside enterprise IT as a business analyst and technical lead — at Home Depot, Viacom, Cognosante (working on Medicare and Medicaid data programs and VA cloud projects), and Arylessence, plus a stretch running IT for a company in Brazil. The through-line of that career: sitting between the people who need something and the people who build it, and making sure what ships is what was actually needed.
Automating the slow parts was always my favorite part of the job — in one prior role, automating pricing and KPI analysis cut process time by more than half. SynapseGrid exists because that kind of win shouldn't require an enterprise IT department. Small and mid-sized businesses have the same repetitive work; now the tools finally fit their size.
